An Intelligence Otter
In a land far away,
there lived a benevolent otter known for his generosity towards other animals
in need of food. Word of his deeds reached a slothful crocodile, who decided to
feign helplessness to receive food from the otter. One day, the crocodile
approached the otter and spun a tale of his inability to find food and his
responsibility towards his numerous siblings.
The otter, curious
about the crocodile’s situation, asked about his home and the number of
siblings he had. The crocodile, with a hint of glee, mentioned that he resided
in a vast lake and had six young siblings who were unable to fend for
themselves. The otter, though skeptical, offered to help but insisted on
visiting the crocodile’s home and meeting his siblings.
The crocodile, taken
aback, quickly made an excuse that his siblings were not at home. The otter,
realizing the truth behind the crocodile’s lies, expressed his disappointment.
He explained to the crocodile that dishonesty could lead to loss of respect and
friendship. The crocodile, realizing his mistake, apologized to the otter and
vowed never to repeat such behavior. He also pleaded with the otter not to
share this incident with others, to which the otter agreed.
